"Today's Supreme Court ruling marks a tragic moment in the fight for a woman's right to choose. The decision, the first of its kind since Roe v. Wade, takes the health and safety of women out of the hands of physicians who seek to provide the best care for their patients. As a husband and father of three daughters, I am deeply saddened by the decision and fearful of its consequences for women and our families. Today, we have been reminded once again of how fragile the protections of a woman's right to choose are and how their reversal truly hung in the balance during the 2004 Presidential election."
